When ChallahCrumbs first began, I was a mom with a lot of small people underfoot. Through the chaos and the mess and the beautiful exhaustion of raising a young family, I felt this deep need to weave creativity and meaning into our days—into Shabbat, into the holidays, into our homes.
I started the site with my dear friend, Shefa Weinstein, and what began as the two of us quickly grew into something bigger. Friends joined in, recipes were tested, articles were shared, and suddenly we had built this beautiful little village online. For a while, it was everything. And then, as life tends to go, our kids grew up, our paths shifted. I opened Pat BaMelach and later Meshek48. Shefa began a career in high tech. The season changed.
But somewhere inside me, I knew I wasn’t done with ChallahCrumbs.
So here I am—back with new eyes, a fresh approach, and a softer focus. I know now (though I think I always knew) that I am at my happiest, most grateful, and most fulfilled when we are all gathered together. Around the table, in the kitchen, in the living room—great things happen at home. That’s the heart of this new chapter of ChallahCrumbs.
Over the past few months, I’ve been sifting through nearly a thousand old posts we created. It’s been a walk down memory lane, a reminder of sticky-fingered holidays and Lego-strewn floors. And while my home looks different now, the heartbeat of it hasn’t changed.
This new ChallahCrumbs is a lifestyle brand rooted in that simple truth: the best of life happens when we are together, at home. I’m grateful to be back in this space. And I’m so grateful you’re here to share the journey with me.✨ So come in—explore a new recipe, gather ideas for your next celebration, sit with a reflection, try a craft, or peek into our home life. I’m happy you’re here.
