As we settle into Kislev and the days grow shorter, there’s something so comforting about leaning into a holiday built on light, warmth, and gathering. Chanukah has always been one of my favorite “at-home” holidays — eight nights of slow dinners, small traditions, and the kind of cozy moments that happen around the table almost by accident.
If you’re planning out your meals and want a little inspiration, I put together eight simple menu ideas — nothing fussy, nothing complicated, just easy, family-friendly dinners with a few fun touches for the kids (and the adults). Think soups, latkes, something warm from the oven… and a tiny bit of magic each night.
*Full disclosure: I will obviously NOT be making latkes every night of the eight, but I wanted to include latkes as an anchor in each meal. Feel free to pick and choose whatever works for you and your family.

Night 1: Super Cozy Family Dinner
A soft landing into the holiday.
